Rescue Tracker is rescue management software made for small rescues, foster networks and shelters. It was built in memory of a golden retriever named Trinity, and it exists so the people who save animals can spend less time on paperwork and more time with them.
Why we built it
The short version of a long story.
Most rescue work happens in the gaps: before work, after the kids are asleep, in a parking lot between a vet run and a foster drop-off. The tools rescues had been handed did not respect that. Adoption applications piled up in a Gmail inbox. Vet records lived in a filing cabinet. Fosters were tracked in a spreadsheet that one person understood. Volunteers were coordinated in a group chat that nobody could search.
The software that did exist was built for somebody else. The most widely used shelter systems in the United States were designed for large municipal facilities, and the free tools paid for themselves by pushing insurance and microchip upsells on the rescues that used them.
Rescue Tracker started as one platform for all of it: every animal, application, contract, foster, volunteer, vet record and donation in one place, working on the phone in your pocket. It carries Trinity's name on the home page because she is the reason it exists.

1Built for rescues, not adapted for them
Every screen starts with one question: what does an overworked volunteer need to do this faster? If a feature does not pass that test, it does not ship.
2No upsells, no per-feature pricing
Plans differ by animal count and staff seats. Every tool is included from day one, and we will never sell your adopters pet insurance to pay for it.
3Phone first
Rescue work happens in intake bays, foster homes and parking lots. The whole platform works on a phone and installs like an app, with notifications that make a sound.
4Your data is yours
Each rescue's records are kept separate, you can export everything from Settings, and there is no contract holding you here. If we are not earning it, leave.

Who is behind it
Rescue Tracker is built and run by Rescue Tracker, LLC, founded by David Powell, a systems and security engineer who has spent his career building and protecting the systems other people rely on. He built Rescue Tracker the way he would want a rescue he loved to be run: carefully, securely, and without wasting a volunteer's evening.
